Swedish agtech startup, ๐Ž๐ฅ๐ฌ๐€๐ซ๐จ, has raised โ‚ฌ2.5M in seed funding to develop AI-powered, climate-resilient wheat varieties. The funding round was led by ๐…๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž ๐…๐จ๐จ๐ ๐…๐ฎ๐ง๐ and ๐๐ˆ๐๐‚, with participation from AgFunder, ๐…๐‹๐Ž๐‘๐€ ๐•๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ, ๐Œ๐ฎ๐๐œ๐š๐ค๐ž, and previous investors. OlsAro specializes in developing new wheat varieties using AI-enabled crop development to improve yield and adapt to challenging environmental conditions such as salt, heat, and drought.

The funding will support team growth, tech advancement, and market entry in regions with high soil salinity. Their innovative wheat varieties could improve global food security by enabling farming on previously unusable land. The company also plans to research heat-tolerant and nitrogen-efficient wheat varieties. With this investment, OlsAro aims to expand its reach to markets like Australia and India.
